What the app does with your data
When you check a parking sign, the app sends the photo you chose, the current date and time, and your time zone to our analysis server, which forwards them to OpenAI's API to read the sign and produce an answer. This happens only when you tap the analyze button.
What we do not do
- We do not store your photos on our servers. They are processed in memory and discarded after the answer is returned.
- We do not require an account, and we do not know who you are.
- We do not collect your location. The app never asks for location permission.
- We do not show ads, use analytics SDKs, or track you across apps.
- We do not sell or share your personal information.
What stays on your device
Your check history (photos and results) is stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes your history. Your remaining scan balance is stored securely on your device.
Third parties
OpenAI processes each photo to read the sign, subject to OpenAI's API data usage policies; API data is not used to train their models. DigitalOcean hosts our analysis server; like most hosting providers, it may keep short-lived operational logs (such as IP addresses) for security and abuse prevention. Apple handles all purchases and subscriptions; we never see your payment details.
Children
Can I Park Here is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
